Make it Right in New Orleans, working with the Majora Carter Group, shows that rebuilding is more than just bricks and mortar, it's also about people and the economy.

Make It Right

The Majora Carter Group is consulting with the Make it Right foundation to build a green collar jobs program in the 9th ward, further aiding the rebuilding, resurgence and recreation of the culturally iconic neighborhood in New Orleans – a neighborhood once called home by the likes of Fats Domino, Marshal Faulk…to say nothing of dozens of local musicians and local families.

This program would create a skilled green-collar workforce – working for and within the community – that could become a part of creating a greater economic ecosystem in an area devastated by disaster and plagued by economic blight.

Make it Right in New Orleans, working with the Majora Carter Group, shows that rebuilding is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s also about people and the economy – keeping current residents in the community and offering opportunities to those who look to return home.
